In conjunction with World Mental Health Day which is celebrated annually on 10th October, it’s important to recognise the value of both physical and mental wellness by walking alongside World Health Organisation’s efforts in making mental health and well-being a global priority for all.
At Funding Societies | Modalku, we believe in the importance of providing mental health and wellness support for our employees. Our initiatives at the workplace include providing our employees access to the MindFi.co platform, a wellness app that provides self-care and group care resources, one-to-one private care sessions with certified counsellors, and interactive masterclasses.
Let’s hear from Cassandre DeBonneville, our Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (IDE) Specialist at FSMK about how the company provides mental health and wellness support at the workplace.
“COVID-19 pandemic triggers a 25% increase in the prevalence of anxiety and depression worldwide. This is an alarming number that affects the global population. As a result, it is important for companies to consider acting now by providing support and care to their employees. As an IDE Specialist, creating a safe space for FSMK employees to share their emotions is the key and an important element to ensuring mental health and wellbeing. This year, at FSMK, through training sessions and discussions, we want to empower our employees to take a more mindful step towards their wellness and happiness. Let’s act now to bring awareness and support toward mental health.” Cassandre DeBonneville, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (IDE) Specialist, Funding Societies | Modalku.
As an IDE Specialist at FSMK, Cassandre DeBonneville provides training for mental and wellness support which include “Discover Your Strengths” training and “Cognitive & Emotional Key to Happiness” which is a positive Psychology based training for our employees.
At the end of July 2022, the Happiness@Work program was launched as a part of the IDE initiatives. The aim was to give FSMK’s employees the opportunity to learn more about their happiness through four training sessions per month. Focusing on a different theme every month, each training session is kept interactive with breakout sessions, surveys, videos, and exercise.
