Seven New Resolutions to Make

2022 is more than halfway gone. How are your New Year’s Resolutions coming along? With another few months to go, it is still not too late to renew that excitement with the benefit of hindsight. Here are seven Resolutions you can recommit to or start from now till December 2022!

  1. Prioritizing your mental health

You have to prioritize your mental health because it is essential for leading a happy life. Your mental health affects how you feel, think, and live daily. Prioritizing mental health is critical because it encompasses your emotional, psychological, and sociological well-being.

So, how do you do it? Start with self-care. You do not have to prioritize the people around you before yourself to be a good person. Self-care is, in fact, not a selfish act because every human being needs to make time to rest, replenish, and regain energy to function at their best. So, start taking care of yourself to protect yourself from burnout.

  1. Getting into a healthy habit: start with walking

If you are one of those people who talked about losing weight during the new year, how is it going so far? Instead of aiming to lose weight without an actual plan, you should focus on getting into a healthy habit, like walking.

Walking is an excellent exercise to help you reach your fitness and weight-loss goals. If you start walking, eating healthier, drinking more water and getting enough sleep, you will be healthier and eventually reach your goal.

  1. Take up a hobby

Another resolution is to take up a new hobby. Taking up a hobby you enjoy brings you joy and enriches your life. A hobby gives you something fun to do during your leisure time and offers an opportunity to learn new skills.

  1. Learn a new skill

By learning a new skill, you can be more flexible. If you consistently educate yourself and try new things, you will discover a new side of yourself and figure out that you can be capable of change and growth. Be open to new opportunities in life.

  1. Find your tribe

Finding your “tribe” is about finding your people, peers, and the folks you connect with. It is undoubtedly not always a simple task, but very useful if you want to be happier in life. You can find your tribe from a collection of friendships from decades past or from set or subset groups with which you resonate right away.

  1. Spend quality time with family

2022 has still been quite a challenging year for everyone to not be around their loved ones. The good news is now that vaccines are available, we can start getting back to spending holidays, birthdays, and more with family. It would help if you spent quality time with your family because it increases happiness and satisfaction. Spending time with people who motivate you to be the best version of yourself can help reduce stress and anxiety, lead a healthier lifestyle and lengthen your life.

  1. Declutter your life: things, tasks, and time

Besides evaluating your habits and focusing on your goal, you should also begin to identify ways you can simplify your life. It is good to consider this mid-year time to do less and have less. Decluttering your life is not only about re-organizing your material items but also simplifying every aspect of your life. It is all about decluttering, and minimizing the chaos in your life so you can have more time and energy to master unexpected situations.

Setting resolutions are an ongoing process where the destination is determined by effort. Align your resolutions with your short, medium, and long-term goals to keep creating your best year ever!
